About me

A 40-something nerd that likes Fantasy, Science Fiction, Nature and Computers. I love building stuff and am trying to make a living out of it.

In my free time, which is increasingly converging towards zero, I swim, read books and spend time with friends, preferably accompanied by a cold beer and good food.

I live and work in Switzerland, have two kids and am married to my wonderful wife Julia.

Professional life

Since graduating from ETH Zurich in 2006 with a master's degree in Computer Science, I've amassed two decades worth of industry experience writing software professionally — most of it as owner and lead developer at Classy Code, a boutique software development agency I founded in 2011.

After 15+ years of building other people's ideas, I got tired of it and am now building and marketing my own product: STRICH is a JavaScript library for barcode scanning in web apps. STRICH is marketed under the umbrella of Pixelverse, a company I've bootstrapped and fully own.

I am passionate about building good software and strive to make customers happy. Knowing that my product is being used every day by countless users around the globe is slightly scary but also brings me a lot of joy.
